This book is definitely great for the beginner witch/magician, to learn the basics of the ritual purposes of using candles, the importance of the candle colors, the importance of the colors for each day of the week, the importance of the colors for the seasons, the importance of moon phases, how and why to use anointing oils and what incense to use during ritual/spell work.3. This foundation helps you to further research this summarized version of using candles, why and how to use candles in your ritual. Also, you may become motivated to further research the meaning of the anointing oils and the incense. The author briefly explains the names of some 24 oils and a brief reason to use the oils, and briefly mentions about 6-8 types of incense.4. There is an explanation of "seals and parchments".5. The jewels of wisdom presented, help you to know what information to further research.CONS:1. From the very beginning, starting with the first chapter, the photocopied words are of bad quality. There are a few sentences that has words and letters missing from the page, because those words were not completely photocopied.2. In the Chapter, "Types of Candles," the black and white images have been poorly photocopied too many times, that the images themselves are difficult to view. The photo copy quality is terrible.3. The "seals and parchments" text is literally 1 page in length. The next page has 3 sigils printed, but the caption under each is very general and brief. The photo copy quality is terrible. This makes it difficult to clearly see the entire design of the sigil. I had to research on the Internet the exact meaning and clearer images of each sigil.******IF POSSIBLE, ORDER A BOOK WITH COLOR PICTURES/ILLUSTRATIONS.
