Read more Versatility Paraffin wax is a candle making classic. Burns beautifully and gives great hot and cold scent throw. Create a variety of textures and finishes just by tweaking your wax recipe and pouring temperature. (See our tips in the step-by-step instructions below). The Pro’s Choice Paraffin is the workhorse of the candle industry--the vast majority of candles sold worldwide contain paraffin. It is clear when melted, and gives a slow, steady burn. When properly wicked, paraffin candles are smokeless and soot-free. Paraffin is not prone to wax bloom. Paraffin shrinks as it sets and hardens. So molded candles should release easily without the breakage softer waxes are prone to. Vibrant Colors Paraffin waxes take color beautifully. From vivid super saturated colors to palest pastel…whatever color you dream in, this wax will help you create it Read more Read more A Step-by-Step Guide to Make Artisan Scented Candles with Paraffin Step 1 Gather your materials and prepare your work area. In addition to the wax, you will need a scale, instant read thermometer, saucepan, containers or molds, as well as any fragrance, candle dye, and/or other additives (see finishes in Step 4) you plan to use. Step 2 Prepare your containers or molds: stick a small piece of wick adhesive or use hot glue to the metal wick tab, then affix to the inside of your container. Take care to center the wick in your container. Choose appropriate size wick. (Refer to our wick size guide in the wax listing) Step 3 Weigh the amount of wax, fragrance and additives you need for your candles. We recommend a 6% maximum fragrance load for our paraffin waxes. For a 6% load in 1 lb wax, use 1 oz fragrance (16oz wax x 6/100=.96 oz) Step 4 - For Mottled Finish For a mottled finish, you will need paraffin wax, fragrance (up to 6%) & color as desired Read more Step 4 - For Smooth Finish For a smooth finish, you will need paraffin wax, fragrance (up to 6%) & color as desired, Plus 1% Vybar/PB 103 (About 2 tsp Vybar/PB 103 for every 1 lb wax). Pro Tip: Make sure your Vybar/PB 103 is fully melted before adding dye & fragrance. Step 4 - For Textured Finish For a textured finish, you will need paraffin wax, fragrance (up to 6%) & color as desired. Pro Tip: A cold pour is the key to making this texture. Step 5 Pour wax carefully into your prepared candle container(s). For Mottled or Smooth Finish: Pour warm (176° F - 185° F) into a warm container/mold. For Textured Finish: Pour cold (150° F - 160° F) into a cold container/mold. Step 6 Add the premeasured fragrance oil, and dyes. Stir gently but thoroughly. For Mottled or Smooth Finish: Pour warm (176° F - 185° F) into a warm container/mold For Textured Finish: Pour cold (150° F - 160° F) into a cold container/mold Step 8 Let the candle(s) cool and set overnight. Paraffin shrinks as it sets and hardens. This is normal and a characteristic of the wax. Re-melt the remaining wax and pour one or more additional times until the candle top is flat…or the desired shape is achieved Step 9 For the best fragrance throw, let your candle(s) cure for at least a week. Trim the wick to ¼”, light your candle and enjoy! Step 10 Pro Tip: To perfect tops and glass adhesion on your container candles, use a heat gun (you can get this at any hardware store) to melt the top layer (about 1/8” should be enough) and let it set again Read more Household Paraffin Wax Coconut Soy Wax Suave Smooth Wax Blend Natural Soy Wax Coconut Soy Wax Flakes Weight 10 lb 10 lb 10 lb 10 lb 6 lb Wax Type Paraffin Coconut / Soy Soy / Paraffin Soy Natural Blend Coconut / Soy Melt Point 130°-135° (F) 125°-130° (F) 120°-125° (F) 125°-130° (F) 125°-130° (F) Max Fragrance Load 6% 10% 12% 10% 10% Color White / Translucent Cream / Opaque Off-White / Opaque Ivory / Opaque Cream / Opaque Texture Hard Soft / Creamy Softer / Buttery Soft / Creamy Flakes / Powder Wick 3" Diameter Container HTP 93 (M) / HTP 105 (L) LX20 - (XL) LX20 - (XL) HTP 105 (L) LX20 - (XL)

Seems like decent wax. It melts fine. The power can be messy if you spill it. It burns very well. Maybe too well. I might mix it with some soy wax I have that burns poorly. The scent I used worked well with this wax. One thing to note, the wax is more clear and less white than the other paraffin wax I bought. This caused my candles to glow from the inside when lit.My box came as bricks unlike the powder it was listed as....have yet to use.the 1st bag was good, the 2nd looked & poured just like soy wax so not sure about there quality control. soy wax is too soft for most of my molds, not buying from this seller again.Feels and looks like there was sugar added inside. I have used many differently paraffin wax. This one doesn't hold sent or color. I would not recommend this product. Also it’s impossible to break or cut like a Crystal rock .
